In a 91-86 loss to Ryerson on Friday, Pasquale led all players with a game-high 27 points and 40 minutes played. He would make10 of 22 field goal attempts while draining 5 of 11 shots from behind the arc. On Saturday against Toronto, the fourth-year English major again led all players with a game-high 30 points. He made eight of 12 field goal attempts while shooting an impressive 55% on three-point shots. Draining nine of his 10 free throws still couldn’t solidify a weekend win as his Voyageurs would fall 94-82 to the Blues.
FEMALE: Kelsey Thomson, Queen’s Gaels, Hockey
Kelsey Thomson of Martintown, Ont., put on an offensive display this weekend as the Queen’s Gaels earned two big wins over rivals Toronto and York. Friday night, the fifth-year consecutive education major scored two goals, including the game winner, and added two assists as the Gaels won 6-1 over the Varsity Blues. Saturday, Thomson continued to light it up as she netted her first hat-trick of the year in a 6-2 victory over the Lions. Thomson’s seven-point weekend vaults her into third in the OUA in scoring with 24 points (13 G, 11 A) on the season.
