M-Hockey Roundup: Hawks shutout Windsor
Thomas Middup (Richmond Hill, Ont.) found the back of the net in the second period to give Laurier a 1-0 lead. He now has eleven goals and twelve assists for twenty-three points in twenty-four games. The power play marker was the last special teams point of the night. The Hawks went 1-for-3 to Windsor's 0-for-4.
Benjamin Skinner (Markham, Ont.) would score with one minute remaining in the third for his seventh of the year. Windsor pulled their goalie ten seconds later to try for two comeback goals. Ryan Daniels shut the door for his 13th win of the year.
The win gives the Hawks a 13-6-5 record, seven points back of first place Western. Windsor drops to sixth place at 11-10-3.
The Golden Hawks continue on the road this weekend with a game against the York Lions. The game is at the Ice Gardens in Toronto on Saturday, January 29. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
